He was ordered into a boat to convey him up the river. He resisted and struck at Mr. Wilkinson. He was given in charge to me. When I attempted to take him into custody he took me by the collar and shook me violently. I got assistance and secured him. The prisoner admitted being drunk and threw himself on the mercy of the Commandant...Sentenced to hard labour in the mine for 10 days in irons and confined at night in a cell at the expiration of which to be returned to his master
